In this role, you’ll manage day-to-day email deployment, oversee automation workflows, partner with marketing analysts, and ensure all campaigns align with broader marketing initiatives. You’ll also contribute technical expertise (HTML/CSS), support A/B testing, analyze trends, and drive enhancements across Symetra’s digital marketing ecosystem.

📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute email marketing programs across the Retirement division.

  • Deploy campaigns, partner with analysts, and maintain the email calendar.

  • Monitor email performance and recommend data-driven improvements.

  • Provide expertise in email best practices, automation, user experience, and deliverability.

  • Build detailed campaign reports and insights using multiple data sources.

  • Lead QA testing for templates, automation flows, and new features.

  • Translate business needs into technical requirements.

  • Maintain alignment with other marketing channels within the Digital Marketing Team.

  • Support cross-functional communication between business partners and technical teams.

  • Ensure compliance with email privacy, regulatory standards, and internal quality requirements.

🧩 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

  • Required: B2B marketing experience within financial services.

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Pardot, ExactTarget, Silverpop, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of HTML & CSS (editing templates).

  • Strong understanding of email operations, segmentation, workflows, and automation.

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and project-management skills.

  • Familiarity with responsive email design principles.

  • Knowledge of insurance/financial services terminology is a plus.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
