As an Associate Patient Access Specialist, you’ll be the first voice patients hear when reaching out for care, helping them schedule appointments, update records, navigate MyChart, and access the support they need.


This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, curiosity, and a desire to help others. No prior medical experience is required—training, mentorship, and hands-on support are provided to help you succeed and grow into more advanced Patient Access roles.



📋 Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients calling for appointments, referrals, test results, prescription refills, or MyChart assistance.

  • Support patients over the phone in a remote call center environment, guiding them clearly and calmly.

  • Escalate calls requiring clinical review or urgent attention to senior specialists.

  • Use phone systems, Epic, and reference materials to update patient information, schedule visits, and provide portal support.

  • Document each interaction accurately and follow established workflows.

  • Participate in training, coaching, and skill-building to maintain accuracy and consistency.

  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture based on curiosity, kindness, and empathy.

🧩 Requirements
  • Work experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or other roles requiring patience and professionalism.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to stay calm under pressure.

  • Comfortable using multiple software systems, quickly learning new tools, and typing at least 50 WPM.

  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Openness to feedback, growth, and learning new skills.

  • Curiosity about healthcare and patient experience.
