VNS Health — one of the country’s largest nonprofit home and community-based health organizations — is hiring an Authorization Coordinator (Weekend Shift) to support service requests, collaborate across departments, and ensure timely delivery of care. In this role, you’ll handle incoming authorization requests, assist providers and members, and help resolve processing issues with accuracy and professionalism.

📋 Key Responsibilities
Create and update authorizations or orders for new and existing members accurately and on time.
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve authorization or order discrepancies.
Assist with inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and emails as assigned.
Coordinate with providers and members regarding authorization activities and follow-up needs.
Communicate with internal departments — including Care Management, Member Services, and Eligibility — to ensure smooth handling of services and requests.
Maintain documentation and follow organizational workflows to support timely service delivery.
🧩 Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a customer service role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, and/or Access
Preferred: Experience in utilization management or healthcare authorization
