In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for customers calling about alarm systems, home automation issues, and technical troubleshooting.

📋 Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound customer calls involving alarm system and home automation issues.

  • Walk customers step-by-step through guided troubleshooting workflows.

  • Provide clear technical assistance, education, and reassurance.

  • Multitask across multiple systems, applications, and workflows.

  • Present Virtual Service Calls and self-service options when in-call resolution isn’t possible.

  • Schedule technician visits when required.

  • Maintain punctual, consistent attendance within a fast-moving environment.

  • Deliver empathetic, customer-first service with strong soft skills.

  • Work successfully in a distraction-free home office with adequate internet.

  • Embrace ongoing feedback, system updates, and performance improvements.

🧩 Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ year of customer service experience required.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to empathize, de-escalate, and build rapport.

  • Troubleshooting ability (hardware/software).

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

  • Able to type 35+ WPM.

  • Intermediate PC proficiency and comfort navigating technical systems.

  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently from home.

  • Dedicated, quiet workspace that meets ADT standards.

Technical experience a plus but not required.
