This role focuses on closing referrals, generating new business, and building a strong sales pipeline through consultative selling within Newtek’s Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. You’ll engage prospects via outbound campaigns, networking, email, and referral channels — identifying opportunities, educating clients, and recommending payroll, HR, tax, and workforce solutions. 📋 Key Responsibilities
Generate new client sales using a consultative, solutions-focused approach across referrals, networking, outbound calls, and digital outreach.
Research and analyze potential clients’ needs, industries, and operations to recommend the most effective HCM and payroll solutions.
Educate and guide prospects toward Newtek products — including payroll processing, HR consulting, pay cards, ACA management, workers’ compensation, and online benefits enrollment.
Identify and qualify additional sales opportunities; upsell products and expand relationships with existing clients.
Prepare proposals within set pricing guidelines and present recommended solutions confidently and professionally.
Participate in developing sales strategies to meet personal and departmental goals.
Track competition and remain aware of industry trends to position Newtek’s solutions competitively.
Maintain strong client relationships and operate as a subject-matter expert in relevant payroll/HCM offerings.
Commit to meeting quotas, KPIs, and activity goals.
🧩 Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum 6 months of B2B sales experience, ideally in payroll, HCM, or SaaS products.
Experience with cloud/SaaS platforms, payroll systems, or HRIS solutions.
Strong influencing, consulting, and closing skills.
Experience in business development, lead generation, or marketing preferred.
American Payroll Association certifications (FPC or CPP) are a plus.
Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation.
Knowledge of payroll processes, tax rules, and timekeeping systems.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-directed, professional, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Bilingual ability is a plus.
Salary range: $45,000–$60,000/year.
