💬 Job Overview
Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen) is hiring an Inside Sales Specialist to join its SmartSource division — a national pharmaceutical distributor serving independent, retail, and long-term care pharmacies. This remote role is perfect for sales-driven professionals who enjoy fast-paced outreach, building relationships, and driving new business in the healthcare supply space.
As an Inside Sales Specialist, you’ll engage prospective and existing pharmacy customers, promote products and exclusive promotions, and manage assigned territories. You’ll receive comprehensive training, engage in daily team huddles, participate in live role-playing exercises, and work closely with supervisors to grow into a full Inside Sales Representative role.
The next training class starts January 5th.Ideal candidates are located in CST or PST.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Drive new business development and proactively grow assigned territories.
Perform cold calling and targeted outreach to independent and retail pharmacy segments.
Identify, recruit, and onboard new pharmacy customers.
Support customers with inventory needs using SmartSource’s ordering and inventory tools.
Maintain accurate CRM records and manage pipelines effectively.
Provide account coverage for team members when needed.
Participate in daily team huddles, training sessions, and role-playing exercises.
Promote products, exclusive pricing, and tailored solutions to maximize customer engagement.
🧩 Requirements
1–2 years of experience in commission-based or revenue-generating environments (internships included).
Exposure to business administration, accounting, marketing, or sales preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
Confident, articulate phone presence and active listening skills.
“Hunter mentality” — energetic, persistent, and eager to seek out new business.
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Solid math, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
