Unified Women’s Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist to support billing, claims resolution, and reimbursement processes across its network of Ob-Gyn practices. In this remote operations role, you’ll manage accounts receivable, follow up on denials, correct payment variances, and work closely with payers, practices, and internal teams to resolve outstanding claim issues.This position is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in medical billing, collections, appeals, and insurance coverage interpretation — especially those who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Resolve Accounts Receivable and Collections by reviewing, following up, and appealing denied claims.
Verify accuracy of insurance payments and pursue discrepancies or underpayments.
Initiate, monitor, and respond to payer reimbursement issues.
Communicate effectively with practices and payers regarding denials, trends, and clarification needs.
Conduct analysis and quality reviews of work completed by third-party vendors.
Generate and build reports as needed to support revenue cycle insights and process improvements.
🧩 Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma required; post-secondary degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience interpreting EOBs, patient benefit plans, and payer policies.
Minimum 2 years of experience with medical claims, billing, collections, and appeals — Ob/Gyn experience preferred.
Experience with practice management systems (Athenanet strongly preferred).
Experience with cloud-based CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with payer and clearinghouse portals such as Availity, Navinet, Optum, etc.
Knowledge of medical billing & coding required; certification preferred.
