📋 Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support by diagnosing and resolving software and hardware issues using remote tools.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for client and internal inquiries via cases, emails, and calls.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to HR & Payroll, ACA, General Ledger, Tax, Reporting, Integrations, Custom Calculations, and Time & Labor systems.

  • Support clients with configuration changes, updates, and data modifications across assigned product areas.

  • Document all interactions throughout the issue lifecycle and identify recurring trends.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and improve system performance.

  • Use Excel tools (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to analyze and manage data.

  • Assist both technical and non-technical users with clear and effective communication.

  • Switch between multiple systems, tools, and communication channels efficiently.

  • Participate in learning initiatives, team knowledge sharing, and skill development.

  • Maintain flexibility to support varying shifts, project-based tasks, and evolving business needs.

🧩 Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years in customer service; help desk or technical support experience preferred

  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data import)

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • Experience with PC hardware/software installation, maintenance, and user training

  • Ability to analyze technical data for problem resolution

  • Ability to learn new tools quickly; desire for continuous learning

  • Strong math skills for payroll, accruals, and reporting

  • Technical aptitude with database tools (SQL and similar) is a plus

Preferred (varies by specialization):

  • General Ledger: Accounting experience, journal entries, payroll knowledge, SQL basics

  • Customs: Experience with Paylocity payroll, HML/SQL basics, configuration testing

  • Escalations/Tax: Payroll experience, HR/payroll tax setups, high-level communication

Education:

  • No degree explicitly required; experience and technical proficiency emphasized
