Unified Women’s Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Revenue Cycle Specialist to support their network of Ob-Gyn providers. In this remote role, you will resolve claim issues, manage accounts receivable and collections, and communicate effectively with practices and payers. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with healthcare billing and insurance experience, looking to make a meaningful impact in the business of medicine.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Resolve accounts receivable and collections issues.
Review, follow up, and appeal denied claims according to standards.
Verify insurance payments and follow up on discrepancies.
Initiate, follow up, and respond to payer reimbursement issues.
Communicate with practices and payers regarding claim denials and trends.
Analyze and perform quality review of work completed by third parties.
Build and generate reports as needed.
🧩 Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years experience interpreting insurance EOBs, patient benefit plans, and policy coverage.
Minimum 2 years experience with medical claims, billing, collections, and appeals; OB/GYN specialty preferred.
Experience with healthcare practice management systems (AthenaNet preferred).
Experience with cloud-based CRM technology (Salesforce preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Knowledge of commercial and governmental insurance payer and clearinghouse portals (e.g., Availity, Navinet, Optum).
Working knowledge of Medical Billing & Coding required; certification preferred.
