💬 Job Overview

Intellistack is seeking a strategic Total Rewards Manager to oversee the execution of benefits, compensation, and total rewards programs. This fully remote role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives on managing complex systems, ensuring compliance, and delivering a seamless employee experience. You’ll own U.S. self-insured benefits, global program coordination, and compensation cycles while collaborating with Finance and HR leadership to optimize programs and provide actionable insights.



📋 Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage all U.S. and global benefits programs, focusing on self-insured health and welfare plans.

  • Lead open enrollment, renewals, stop-loss coordination, funding models, and claims analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, PCORI, Form 5500, Medicare Part D, and other regulations.

  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, carriers, and TPAs to optimize cost, compliance, and employee experience.

Compensation & Total Rewards Execution:

  • Administer annual merit, bonus, and sales compensation programs.

  • Calculate and coordinate bonus payouts and adjustments with accuracy and discretion.

  • Maintain pay data accuracy across HRIS and financial systems.

  • Partner with Finance on headcount, compensation, and benefits reporting.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization:

  • Analyze utilization, cost trends, and funding performance across benefits programs.

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvement.

  • Manage all administrative tasks, including audits, filings, and documentation.

  • Continuously assess workflows for efficiency and implement automation where possible.

🧩 Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Benefits, or Compensation roles.

  • Deep expertise managing self-insured U.S. benefit plans.

  • Experience with compensation cycles, payroll processing, and HRIS systems (Rippling preferred).

  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including modeling and reporting.

  • Familiarity with global benefits programs (Canada required; additional regions a plus).

  • Proven ability to manage compliance filings and vendor relationships.

  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and follow-through.
