Assurant is seeking a Claims Auditor to provide oversight of the home warranty claims process. This fully remote role focuses on reviewing and adjudicating claims to ensure compliance with company agreements, controlling costs, and supporting a fair and timely claims experience for both Assurant and service providers.
As a Claims Auditor, you’ll identify trends, correct claim errors, and help implement process improvements. This role is ideal for individuals with attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and prior claims or service administration experience.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Review and adjudicate claims to ensure compliance with Terms of Agreement.
Identify negligent, fraudulent, or inappropriate claims through audits and analysis.
Manage team email queues, chat channels, and audit panels on rotation.
Conduct research on individual and batch claims to verify accuracy and adherence to business rules.
Identify trends and patterns in claims, reporting to management with corrective action plans.
Recommend agent or vendor training to reduce claim errors or non-compliance.
Resolve standard claims independently; escalate complex claims to senior auditors or management.
Perform varied work using established procedures and processes.
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance risk management and controls.
🧩 Requirements
High School Diploma required; AS/AA degree preferred.
2+ years experience in claims adjudication, service repair management, or service administration for major electronics, appliances, or similar products.
Knowledge of claims processing, auditing, and process improvement.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
Ability to multitask and work under supervision.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions.
