💬 Job Overview

Conduent is looking for a remote Claims Processor to review benefits-related paperwork, evaluate documents for eligibility, and process transactions according to client rules and IRS guidelines. This is a detail-heavy role that requires strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and the ability to work through complex cases.


You’ll analyze images of documents, verify participant information, apply plan rules, calculate reimbursements, and ensure all transactions comply with regulations. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys structured work, problem-solving, and navigating multiple computer systems in a fast-paced environment. 📋 Key Responsibilities
  • Review document images from benefits plan participants and determine eligibility.

  • Prepare, index, and process electronic documents in the case management system.

  • Research and verify participant addresses from returned mail.

  • Apply IRS guidelines and plan-specific rules to each request.

  • Review legal guardianship, POA, and other legal documentation when transactions come from third parties.

  • Evaluate paperwork for completeness, accuracy, signatures, notarization, and required supporting documents.

  • Calculate eligible reimbursement amounts based on documentation and participant history.

  • Track request history and assess prior transactions that may impact eligibility.

  • Update case notes, follow up on open items, and close cases once resolved.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on escalations or exception processing.

  • Conduct peer reviews on other team members’ work as needed.

  • Meet accuracy and speed requirements while navigating multiple systems.

  • Request guidance when IRS guidelines or knowledgebase instructions are unclear.

🧩 Requirements
  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.

  • 2+ years in an analytical, claims-processing, documentation, or eligibility-determination environment strongly preferred.

  • Experience in health & welfare benefits is a plus.

  • Strong critical thinking, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer tools at once.

  • Must pass an internet speed test (≥25 download / ≥5 upload / ≤175 ping).

  • Must connect with a wired ethernet cable.
