💬 Job Overview
As an SDR on the Twilio Segment team, you’ll research and engage prospective customers, qualify leads, and build relationships through multi-channel outreach. You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to develop territory strategies, fuel the sales pipeline, and accelerate new business.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong communication skills, resilience, and a track record of proactive customer-facing work.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Research and identify prospective customers; qualify leads through outbound calling, personalized emails, LinkedIn/social selling, and creative outreach.
Break into new companies and markets using a value-based, multi-touch outreach strategy.
Achieve and exceed monthly goals for generating qualified business opportunities.
Prepare activity, pipeline, and forecasting reports; maintain accuracy in Salesforce, Outreach, and Sales Navigator.
Collaborate with Account Executives to create account strategies and territory plans.
Participate in Segment’s SDR Onboarding Program for foundational training and development.
Represent Twilio Segment with professionalism, curiosity, and enthusiasm during all prospect interactions.
🧩 Requirements
Required Qualifications
1+ year of customer-facing experience (sales, service, or support).
Strong sales abilities and comfort with creative, high-volume outreach.
Consistent performance record and goal-oriented mindset.
High resilience — able to handle rejection and persist confidently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to rapid change; enjoys variety and fast-paced workflows.
Collaborative team mentality and willingness to partner with Account Executives.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling software, SaaS, or technology solutions.
Familiarity with customer data, CRM tools, or technical sales environments.
